Worked great as a temporary cooler. Fan noise could be better

from completed build OH MY PC!

The 212 Black is a pretty decent and cheap CPU fan. It gets the job done and looks much better than the 212 EVO.

Really like the way it connects to the board, but really wish the way the fans connect to the radiator was a little better. A bit flimsy imo.

It works alright and doesn't let my CPU melt, but for its size, I would've expected better cooling capacity, it's about 40°C on idle with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X.

Update: The temperatures are actually acceptable, I'm just too used to laptop temperatures. Does a good job of preventing the CPU from climbing much higher than ~70°C, even at very high loads, and brings it back down fairly quickly. Rather quiet for its size, I think, anyway.

Has no problem cooling this CPU. Will update info.

Ran out to BestBuy on the day of my build. Got it for $30 or so and has been great. Jerry-rigged another fan onto it for better cooling and its been solid. Can't complain

Going on year three operates around 50 Celsius with every CPU I've thrown at it. Staple of it's market.
